Economic Value Added participated in the annual SBC Global Alliance World Conference, which was held this year in El Gouna, Egypt.

The conference was hosted by Kozman & Co., a network member firm in Egypt, and brought together independent accounting, tax, and consulting firms from around the world, along with representatives from ASNAF International. It was an excellent opportunity to renew old acquaintances, make new ones, and exchange ideas on how we can better support our internationally active clients.

Our company was represented by Eva Sampani, Partner at Economic Value Added, who participated as a speaker on the panel “Practical Business Experiences in Egypt and the MENA Region.” Moderated by Hani Kozman (Kozman & Co., Egypt) and featuring Sunil Thomas (VASS International, UAE), the panel examined the practical aspects of doing business in Egypt and the wider Middle East and North Africa region: market entry, cross-border collaboration, cultural and commercial differences, as well as the challenges faced by businesses and their advisors. Eva Sampani brought the Greek and European perspective to the discussion.

Additionally, Eva Sampani delivered a speech presenting Economic Value Added, our services, and our experience in supporting foreign businesses and investors in Greece, giving other network members the opportunity to get to know our team firsthand.

The conference program covered a wide range of topics. Among other things, developments in Latin America and how geopolitical changes affect international business were discussed, while artificial intelligence and its role in the future of accounting and consulting firms held a special place. Members also discussed the network’s next steps, such as the creation of working groups for AI adoption and cross-border opportunities, as well as the development of country-specific guides based on members’ local knowledge.

Beyond the professional agenda, there was time to enjoy Egyptian hospitality, traditional cuisine, and a tour of the El Gouna lagoon, moments that strengthen the trust-based relationships essential for any international collaboration.

We sincerely thank the team at Kozman & Co. for the impeccable organization and warm hospitality. We return from El Gouna with new ideas, stronger ties with our partners worldwide, and an even greater desire to offer our clients services with international reach.
